Enigma Canoes Nimrod 14

Strong and Lightweight Canadian Canoe.

The Nimrod 14 from Enigma Canoes is based on the hugely popular Ontario design by Colin Broadway of Mobile Adventure. At 14ft in length this can be considered to be the bigger brother of the solo RTI 13 Enigma Canoe. The Nimrod 14 is slightly longer, has a larger load capacity and a faster top-end cruising speed.

With a fine, tapered bow and shallow ‘V’ hull providing good initial and secondary stability. Whilst a little more length than a dedicated solo boat, it does make a noticeable difference to the forward speed and tracking, especially when paddling it solo. The Nimrod 14 also has a low draught, making it less affected by cross-winds or gusts on windy days. However, on choppier or moving water a canoe with a deeper draught such as the Nimrod 15, or Prospector will provide a drier ride and have less chance of swamping.
