Family Canadian Canoe for Flat Water Touring
The Turing 16 is much like an estate car, it has the storage capacity to fit all your kit for a family day out or a weekend away. For those with a long memory, the Enigma Turing 16 is based on the same design as the original Mobile Adventure Symphony Canoe. It could be considered as a shorter version of the Turing 17, a little lighter, more stable and easier to handle on and off the water. With the wide, slightly shallow ‘v’ hull shape the Turing 16 is stable, easy to paddle, and designed primarily for flat water cruising.
With minimal rocker, the Turing 16 tracks well in a straight line, which is especially useful on windy days, when paddled by one person or for covering longer distances. Perfect for calm, sheltered waters, the Turing 16 can be used on canals, slow moving rivers, lakes and reservoirs. It can also be used on sheltered tidal waters such as estuaries and sea lochs given the right experience and conditions. For use on low grade white-water or faster moving rivers, a similar sized Prospector 16 could be considered a better choice as it has a more all-round hull shape.
For growing families, there is enough space to fit an extra seat for a third passenger or have plenty of space for camping kit on overnight expeditions. As with all the Enigma Canoes range the Turing is constructed from durable triple layer plastic, and should provide the paddler with many years of maintenance free canoeing adventures
