Lightweight Canoe Paddle

Constructed from 3 ply laminated basswood in the home of open boating- Canada. These are billed as a basic, yet elegant entry-level paddle, and much nicer to use than metal or plastic canoe paddles.

Unlike aluminium paddles, wooden canoe paddles such as the Grey Owl Scout transmit the feel of the water and flex slightly to absorb shock; and retain warmth to keep your hands comfortable in colder weather. The Scout also features a recently upgraded tougher shaft, for extra durability.

The Scout is modelled on traditional tear-drop or beavertail shaped paddles that are widely considered to be perhaps the best all-round shape for a variety of paddling styles and water conditions- a true general purpose open boat paddle.
