Carbon Fibre Foam Core Low Angle Sea Kayak Paddle

The Werner Athena inland touring and sea kayak paddle has asymmetric blades, designed for paddlers who prefer a low angle paddling style. Combined with a relatively small blade surface area, which is gentler on your joints and allows for a faster stroke rate. Exceptionally quiet, light and buoyant, the Athena is a great choice for smaller low-angle style paddlers.

The Athena's smaller Foam-Core blades pull effortlessly through each stroke, making paddling all day feel effortless. Especially when combined with their well considered dihedral blade shape. Both the blades and shaft are constructed from carbon fibre, to give a high performing, stiff paddle with a smooth back face to the blade for cleaner entry/exit on each stroke.

Hidden along  the edges of each paddle blade is a material called Dynel which is incredibly impact and abrasion resistant. And when combined with the ultra-strong carbon fibre materials, should give a paddle that during normal use and looked after well, could provide a lifetime of paddling.

Other features include Werners 'Smart View' ferrule system that allows simple and precise changes to the paddles degree of feather, or easily taken apart for storage and transportation. The hidden foam-core inside the blades, provides uplift on each stroke and enormous amounts of stability.
