Wave Sport Hydra 125

Short capable tourer packed with features

Based on the popular Wave Sport Hydra 145, the 125 is a couple of feet shorter, but still has the same features and outfitting that made the longer version a joy to paddle. As the Hydra 125 is under 13ft in the length, it is more manoeuvrable than longer touring kayaks, providing it with a tighter turning circle and makes exploring narrower waterways a breeze. The shorter length also means it is weigh’s less than larger kayaks, so is easier to car top, carry to the waters edge and handle on the water.

The Hydra 125 is known as a sporty tourer with a refined hull and moderate rocker, allowing it to be paddled on a wide range of water types, both inland and coastal. The responsive hull gives predictability and control, but has enough forgiveness for those learning the basics and wanting a bit more from their kayak. 

Like all the boats from the Wave Sport factory, the Hydra 12.5 is constructed from durable high-density polyethylene (the same as their white-water kayaks) to provide a sturdy, robust boat that will provide many years of maintenance free paddling. Packed with plenty of features and storage space, the Hydra 125 can be loaded up for a full day’s paddling, or even overnight trips. The Core-Whiteout seating system has to be sat in to be believed- one of the most comfortable kayak outfitting systems currently available.
