The Halibut from respected boat builders Gumotex could be the perfect answer for anglers who need to reach further afield than the distance they can cast from the shore or jetty. An inflatable fishing kayak is the perfect solution for those that would struggle to either find the room to store a 13ft rigid plastic kayak, or the need to lift a heavy (30kg’s plus) kayak onto the roof of a car or van.

An ideal length to cover some distance, the Halibut is also very wide, making it stable enough for novice kayakers, to stand up in whilst casting and also a large carrying capacity (200kg’s) for heavier paddlers, or anglers wanting to carry a huge amount of equipment with them.

The Halibut has loads of onboard features making it a perfect fishing platform, and sets it aside from other inflatable kayaks on the market. This kayak has a fitted solid base, making it semi-rigid. This in turn leads to higher performance on the water and a platform to stand and cast from when required. The seat is raised off the floor of the kayak for a more comfortable sitting position, also providing the paddler with a drier ride. Plenty of storage and rod positions come as standard and the kayak is even fitted with an anchor trolley system for the safe use of an anchor set-up (supplied separately).

Gumotex is well known for its manufacturing quality and choice of hard wearing, durable materials. The Halibut is no exception - made from Nitrilon (a similar material to white-water rafts) which is lightweight and quick to dry. This kayak comes with a handy 100 Litre transport dry-bag, meaning everything can be packed and stored into an easy to carry package weighing a mere 21kgs (when dry) that will fit easily into a car boot or motor home locker.

Great for exploring lakes, reed beds, gently moving rivers, canals, estuaries and other inland waterways, that might be inaccessible from the bank. Simple to operate, easy to transport, the Halibut is well suited to total beginners to the sport of kayaking and should provide many years of happy paddling/fishing to come.
