Kayak J Bar Carrying System
The Thule Hull-a-Port XTR from Thule is not only a J cradle, it can also be adjusted to secure a 2nd kayak on the outer edge, freeing up room across your Thule bars. Attaching to either Square or Wing bars using it’s unique clamp/grip system without the need for any additional fittings or kits.
The Hull-a-Port XTR J-Cradle will fit most white-water kayaks, mid-sized sit-on-tops (up to 34kg), touring kayaks and also sea kayaks. The padded J bar is perfect for preserving hull integrity and especially useful if you are the proud owner of a composite boat.
The back part of the J-Cradle has an easy to use adjustment lever, allowing it to be folded flat when not in use. (lowering the overall vehicle height) It can also be adjusted to a vertical position as in the pictures below, and used as an upright bar for another kayak to be strapped against its outer edge.
Included in the box are a set of 4 metre cam-straps and bow/stern tie-downs.
