Lightweight One Person Canoe
Small in stature, yet big on performance, the Enigma RTI 13 is the smallest canoe from the Enigma Canoes fleet. Designed to be easily paddled solo, the RTI 13 is also light enough to allow one person to car-top and transport the boat to and from the water’s edge (compared to larger, two-person canoes). The RTI 13 has minimal rocker and a relatively narrow beam, allowing it to track well in a straight line and have less drag than wider solo canoes. Although not classed as unstable, the RTI 13 would suit a paddler with previous open boat experience, and should be paddled in the traditional kneeling stance- and in the right hands prove a versatile solo canoe for use on a variety of water types.
Due to its relatively short waterline length, the Enimga Canoes RTI 13 is very manoeuvrable making it a great little craft for exploring smaller waterways and backwaters. It is also a nice size for smaller or junior paddlers looking for a lightweight, easy to handle open boat. For those canoeists looking for more primary stability, the need to carry extra equipment or take a second paddler- the Nova Craft Prospector 15 or Enigma Canoes Tripper 14 might also be worth a look.
