The 3-seat Discovery Sport 15 from Old Town Canoes is a popular, versatile open canoe for fishing, hunting, and family use. It has a squared-off stern, and transom mount so that an outboard motor can easily be added (up to 4hp), yet can also be paddled like a traditional canoe when required. The boat is also supplied with an oar socket kit (not installed), that can be added to the canoe so it can be rowed from the central seat position if wanted.
Like all the Old Town Canoes, the Sport 15 is constructed from high strength triple-layer polyethylene to provide good durability, low maintnenace and hassle free use over the years. The Discovery Sport 15 is considered to be a wide canoe, providing good stability, and the hull has full length chones that also provide a strong primary stability. Reassuring and predictable to paddle the Sport 15 is a great boat for exploring sheltered waterways, including canals, lakes and slow-moving rivers.
