The Quessy Aspen wooden canoe paddles is a great entry level option. Aspen is known for its good strength to weight ratio, allowing for a lightweight paddle that is still strong and durable.

To increase the paddles durability, it has been fully varnished, and the blade has a discreet line of resin along its lower edge. The lowest part of the blade usually suffers the most wear and tear through normal use, this resin provides reinforcement and extra protection.

The blade shape is known as ‘Square-Tipped’ and is widely considered to be amongst the best general purpose canoe paddle shapes available. Well suited for beginners and on a variety of water conditions, such as shallow rivers, deep water tripping and casual days out.
