A Strong & Durable Canoe Paddle Made in the UK

The Canoestix Foundation paddle from performance paddle manufacturers Streamlyte is a well designed piece of kit, designed and built here in the UK. Constructed from hard wearing materials, the shaft is fiberglass to reduce weight, and give a nice feel to the stroke. Paddle Weight: 800g (if cut to 60" length).

The hard-wearing blade is the proprietary PPSF material- an incredibly strong mix of polypropylene reinforced with glass-fibre, then injection moulded into the blade shape. The result is a tough, durable and fatigue resistant blade, perfectly suited to shallower water, and should provide much more strength and less maintenance considerations over wooden canoe paddles.

The 100% glass fibre shaft on the CanoeStix paddle is supplied uncut, with a comfortable T-Grip handle, so the user can decide upon their own length before fitting the T-Grip. (54"-62" when uncut).

Streamlyte have put plenty of thought into the blade design, and offer a fairly strong dihedral shape with a low spine on the reverse side of the blade- this combination is thought to be a good compromise to produce a great all-round paddle for both flat water touring and moving water. The blade shape is slightly curved, to provide a nice catch to the stroke entry. It has a relatively large surface area to give good support, powerful strokes when needed and is well suited for stronger paddlers looking for a positive, powerful canoe paddle.
