Roofrack cradles for carrying kayaks

Most paddlers transport their rigid hulled kayak on their car roofrack system. Kayaks can be carried flat, or tilted on their edge in J-cradles. The benefits of carrying a kayak on its side on J-bars is that they cradle the hull of the kayak to provide a secure roof-load, yet also protect the integrity of the hull, especially with composite kayaks. The added bonus of J-cradles is it maximises the available roof space- important when transporting more than one kayak, or leaving room for bike carriers or a roofbox.

Unlike cheaply made J-bars, these premium KajakSport KS J-Carriers are constructed from strong components and manufactured fully in Finland to provide peace of mind and a secure kayak. These J Cradles are designed to fit either Square profile bars, Wing or Aero bars, just select the correct adaptor from the drop-down menu when ordering.

Once assembled with the correct adaptor, it is a quick and simple job (no tools required) to fit or remove the J-Cradles when required. A nice feature of these J-carriers is the integral paddler holder perfect for transporting wet or sandy paddles outside of the vehicle for the journey home.
