Fast Tandem Pedal Kayak

All the fantastic technology and features found on Hobie’s range of Mirage Drive Kayaks available in a tandem package. Designed for couples, friends or different generations to take to the water and explore the wealth of UK waterways in the company of another. The Oasis is a fast, efficient kayak, that can be powered by one or two people paddling or peddling (or both!), or even from a sail (supplied separately) on windy days. Due to its width, the Hobie Oasis is also considered a stable platform to use, and can be used by kayakers with little or no experience. The simple to use drop-down rudder system can be easily utilised from either seating position, and at a simple pull of a toggle the fins are switched round to engage reverse, making the Oasis a very manoeuvrable kayak for its length.

Other nice features include the superb, easily adjustable Vantage Seating System. This seat is raised from the floor of the Oasis for a drier ride, is quick to adjust and offers plenty of comfort in what many consider to be the best kayak seat available. The Mirage Drive system is also easily adjusted for various leg lengths, and provides efficient propulsion by using leg muscles. However, the Oasis is also supplied with lightweight fibreglass paddles so that the oasis can be used as a traditional sit-on-top kayak, using the paddlers upper body strength when required.

Other nice features include plenty of on-board storage, including a large bow hatch (that can easily take a trolley), rod and cup holders, and 3x simple to use Twist-Lock watertight hatches. The Oasis has been designed to have a nice compromise between forward speed and stability, and can easily cope well with slight to moderate choppy conditions. Making it suitable for use around the Uk’s varied shorelines and inland waters.
