Popular Venture Kayaks Islay with Large Cockpit

The Islay Cruiser from Venture Kayaks is a modern take on the classic Islay kayak models. The Cruiser version has a large, oversized cockpit and is wider than most short touring kayaks to give a higher primarily stability. These characteristics give the Islay Cruiser paddler much more reassurance on the water, as the kayak has greater stability and is easier to get in/out of whilst still offering a drier ride from the elements.

The Cruiser from Venture uses the Fit-4 outfitting system which has a very comfortable paddled seat, supportive, adjuetable backrest and thighbraces/hip pads to allow for good control over the kayak. One feature unique to the Islay Cruiser is the addition of a wooden handle located at the front of the cockpit. This has a really nice feel to it, and provides a useful grab point whne lifting yourself in or out the kayaks seat, or when manouvering the kayak on dry land.
