Thule UpRide 599

Roof mounted cycle carrier which clamps the front wheel.

The Thule UpRide 599 could be the perfect upright bike carrier for many people, this is due to its unique front wheel clamping design which uses an 'X' style hooked clamping system to pull the wheel into the carrier. This means that bikes with unique frame shapes and sizes, bike with lightweight frames such as carbon fibre, or bikes with frame accessories such as bottle cages can still easily be mounted.

Thule include 2 barrel locks with the UpRide, one secures the carrier onto your roof rack and the other fits into a nifty rear cable lock mounted in the back of the carrier which can be used to lock the rear wheel and frame to the carrier.

The rear wheel is secured in a wheel tray with a diagonal ratcheting securing strap, this wheel tray fits tires up to 3" wide. These wheel trays can be optionally upgraded to fit wider tired if required, the Thule Upride Fat Bike Adapter (Sold Separately) increases the maximum width to 5".
