Triple 3-Person Lightweight Canoes
Three Seat Canoes constructed from extremely light and strong composite materials.
Although lightweight 2-person canoes can always have an extra seat fitted should the need arise. Some people prefer to start out with three seats already factory-fitted by the manufacturer. Both Nova Craft and Swift Canoes can fit a 3rd seat to most of their tandem canoe models upon request. However, Manchester Canoes only imports the 3-seat Swift ‘Combi’ Canoes as part of our standard line-up.
These combi-canoes are a popular 3 seat canoe choice for several reasons. The 3rd (middle seat) is removable so it can be used as a lightweight tandem canoe. Once the 3rd seat if fitted in place, the yoke is removed, and the canoe can be paddled by three people. Alternatively, the 3rd seat is ideally located at the perfect place for a solo paddling position. This allows a combi open boat to be paddled by one person when required, and still provide a nicely balanced canoe.
