The motor kit can run for up to 80 minutes at full thrust, and 12 hours at lower speeds.
The Bixby J-2 outboard kit comes supplied with wireless control, battery and propulsion unit. The world-famous Bixby K-1 Kit is now available in the UK, and is used by many Kayakers and Stand-Up Paddle Boarders worldwide. With up to 33lbs of thrust and using wireless controls, the Outboard Kit can easily be installed on most small watercraft to provide on-water assistance. Light in weight, the full kit and lithium-ion battery comes in at only 4.5kg.
Designed to be used in conjunction with the Motor Kit, Bixpy have come up with simple solutions to adapt the kit onto over 850 different models of kayaks and boards. These are Bixpy’s bestselling mounting adaptors, for kayaks with existing rudder mounts, Hobie kayaks, and most fishing kayaks with pedal drive compatibility.
Some kayaks will already have an existing steering system that is compatible with Bixpy motors, other paddlers will prefer to use their existing paddle to steer their craft when using the assistance provided by the J-2 Outboard. If you require more control over the direction of travel, then Bixpy offer a range of steering solutions.
