Badger Wood Oil
Badger Paddle Wood Oil is specifically designed for use on solid wooden paddles, canoe gunnels, knife/axe handles, thwarts and yokes. Made entirely from Canadian sourced hempseed oil with no added chemicals or solvents, meaning it is environmentally friendly, has no toxic vapours and is also safe for use on wood that comes into contact with food.
Badger Oil penetrates deeply into the wood, still allows the wood to breathe and also contains anti-fungal/anti-microbial properties that are resistant to mildew and mould. Once dry, the oil provides a protective, water-resistant surface that will extend the life of your wooden canoe paddle or outfitting.
All of our non-varnished canoe paddles and outfitting comes ready oiled, and how regularly you decide to re-oil your woodwork depends on how often it is used, where it is stored and how long it is exposed to the elements. One thing that is certain is re-oiling your wooden paddle etc over the years, will prolong its life and keep it serviceable for many years to come.
