A simple nylon cockpit cover is an excellent way to prevent debris and unwanted insects from entering a kayak stored outdoors or outbuilding. This lightweight cover offers fantastic value for money, and is available in 4 sizes to fit the majority of closed cockpit kayak thanks to its adjustable outer draw cord.

Although cockpit covers can be used whilst the kayak is being transported, we would recommend the use of a neoprene cockpit cover (rather than nylon) in this instance. Neoprene offers a much tighter fit, and is less likely to blow off when the kayak is being transported on a roofrack or trailer.
