Badger Paddles Badger Tail
A Cherry Wood Beavertail Style Canoe Paddle
The Badger Paddles BadgerTail Canoe Paddle is somewhat confusingly called the Badgertail paddle however the shape closely resembles the traditional beavertail canoe paddle design. This shape has more width towards the lower half of the blade, allowing it to still be used effectively in shallower water. A versatile paddle, the Badgertail is powerful, smooth, quiet and considered by many as a general purpose paddle that can be used for all canoeing situations.
As with all of our Canadian made Badger paddles the Badgertail is supplied with an oiled finish that won’t chip or scratch (like varnished) and can easily be re-oiled every so often when the need arises. To look after your Badgertail it is supplied with a free paddle sock to protect it during transportation and storage.
Constructed from Cherrywood, the paddle has a lovely weight and feel to it when it is pulled through the stroke, and the dihedral (centre) ridge on the blade provides a smooth stroke by giving the water a direction to flow around the blade. This ridge sets Badger paddles from other brands, and showcases the craftsmanship and attention to detail during their development and construction.
