Riot have been back to the drawing board and with a complete re-design for 2023 of the intermediate model from the Edge range, the Edge 13 is now better than ever. A fantastic blend of length, storage and manoeuvrability this Edge 13 is designed to bridge the gap from the day touring Edge 11 to the multi-day boat of the Edge 15 by giving the capability of doing both. Well suited to a wide range of waterways, the Edge 13 is at home on calm coastal conditions, lakes, gentle flowing rivers and canals.

The Riot Edge 13 is a stable kayak, but this is nicely blended with a good water line length which makes it ideal for those who want to travel a reasonable distance but also want to feel stable as they first get into (or out of) the kayak. Inside the Flex 4 seat is comfortable and easy to adjust to give a truly bespoke feel. The rear has adjustable tension and height gives outstanding lumbar support, while the front of the seat can be raised to engage the leg lifter and improve connectivity to the kayak and offer support for the backs of your legs.

The deck features two hatches, both with sealed bulkheads at bow and stern. These allow for dry storage and act as additional buoyancy should you become separated from the kayak. A small day hatch is just in front of the cockpit (Bigdeck) perfect for storing bits you might want when out on the water. Deck lines and bungees cross the deck offering additional storage for those items you want to get quickly like a jacket, map, water bottle or bilge pump. Just behind the seat are two accessory tracks which can be used to add an assortment of items, fishing rod holders, camera booms/ mounts etc. but without the need to start drilling holes into the kayak. The Edge 13 also features an easy to use drop down skeg to help assist for straight line tracking in more challenging conditions.

Overall the Edge 13 is a great all rounder touring kayak, suitable for a wide range of paddlers in a broad range of environments. The re-design keeps it just as the good as the other boats in the Edge range.
