Wave Sport Horizon

Following many years as an exceptionally popular tandem kayak the Perception Horizon received all new outfitting and a rebrand as the Wave Sport Horizon. Fully moulded and outfitted in the UK, the Horizon is an excellent all-round touring kayak with the capability to be as comfortable on calm inland waters as it is in choppy sea conditions.

The long waterline provides excellent directional stability, while the high volume bow gives a drier ride in poorer conditions as it climbs over waves and offers some deflection from spray away from the cockpit areas. This design also helps reduce the loss of those essentials, jacket, maps etc being stored under the bungee deck rigging.

The two bulkhead storage compartments are kept watertight with hatch covers at the bow and stern for ample storage. This kayak can be used for short day trips, or alternatively loaded up with overnight kit for camping trips. Another nice feature on the Horizon are the moulded though front and rear carry handles, making it easy to carry and lock-up if necessary.

Features wise, the Horizon has everything you would expect on a short sea kayak/touring kayak, including a drop-down skeg system, adjustable footrests 3x watertight hatches and rear mounted gear tracks for easily fitting accessories without the need to drill the hull.

Available in either top of the range Whiteout outfitting, or Wavesports iconic Blackout Specification. The Horizon can also be supplied with a factory-fitted rudder system (standard on Whiteout boats) to help with tracking on breezy days, or if there is an incompatibility between the two paddlers! This rudder system can also be retrofitted to the Horizon at a later date by the customer if required.
