With plenty of well-considered features from bow to stern the Salty PDL is a well-considered fishing kayak and allows the paddler an easy-to-use platform to fish or kayak from. With 2x generous sized sized tank wells (one at the bow and a larger one behind the seat) the kayaker will have plenty of space to fit crates, coolers and other items. Two 18” flush mounted tracks can be found on either side of the main seating area, allowing for easy mounting of additional rod holders, or to fully utilise the transducer scupper hole and setup a fish-finder onto the track. This transducer scupper hole has a universal mounting block recessed into the hull allowing for speedy fish finder installation (less time off the water, with more spent time kayaking and fishing). Four flush mounted rod holders can be found around the seating area, two rear facing for stowing rods on the paddle out and two forward facing, to make baiting up/trolling easier.

The pedal system itself is Old Towns legendary PDL Drive, which has an easy docking system for hassle-free launching and landing. The seat is designed to offer exceptional lumbar support and is adjustable along a shuttle track to accommodate different leg lengths, the mesh cover gives great ventilation and drainage while the frame system prevents you sitting in a puddle of water. Under the seat is a storage pocket, perfect to keep items close to hand such as a tackle box.
